My name is Kris Evers, and I’m a sophomore majoring in photography at the University of Kansas. I’m from St. Louis, Missouri, which is home to so many different kinds of people with all kinds of different stories and backgrounds.

Growing up in schools and neighborhoods with people of all ages and different walks of life, I found myself wanting to capture their beauty and give them something to be proud of and share. Everyone has a story, and it’s impactful when someone takes the time to want to empower them for what they’ve gone through. 

Outside of school, I love theater and music and am always incorporating myself into their worlds somehow, either through going to performances and concerts or participating in them myself. I also love creatively writing, and I am always working on short stories and poems in my free time.
